KEEP NEW YORK MOVING

New York City runs on public transit.

Every day, more than three million workers rely on our trains and buses to get to work. When service slows down or fares go up, working families feel it first.

But instead of treating transit like the backbone of our economy, Washington has underfunded it for decades.

Highways get the majority of federal funding, including money to maintain and operate them. Transit systems like the MTA don’t. That leaves New Yorkers paying more for worse service.

And now it’s getting worse.

Donald Trump tried to freeze nearly $18 billion in federal funding for New York transit projects. It was a direct attack on our city and the millions of people who rely on transit every day.

New Yorkers know transit is not a luxury. It’s the lifeblood of this city.

Antonio will take that determination to Congress. His Keep New York Moving plan will deliver federal funding that actually lowers fares and improves service. He’ll modernize outdated subway signals, expand accessibility, invest in safer streets and bike lanes, and tie transit funding to building more housing near stations.
